Healthy Apple Pie Mug Muffin

Ingredients

  • ½ cup tinned apple slices I recommend Ardmona apple slices
  • 1 egg
  • cup traditional rolled oats
  • ½ tsp brown sugar
  • ¼ tsp apple cake spice or a combination of nutmeg, cinnamon and allspice

Instructions

  • Place the apple slices and egg into a small jug and whisk together with a fork
  • Add the oats, brown sugar and spices, then mix to combine
  • Swirl a few drops of water into a mug (to stop sticking), then tip the ingredients into the mug
  • Microwave on high for 90 seconds
  • Top with your favourite vanilla or plain yogurt and drizzle with a little bit of maple syrup

Bake time is 90 seconds
